USS Caracas is re-launched
Stardate 090530 Pinastri Prime By Commodore Taylorholic Durant
On the stardate of 090530, the USS Caracas, after a period of refit, successfully left dock and returned to active duty. I had the opportunity to be on board at the moment of the official launch by Admiral Mike Calhoun and one could notice nothing but sheer joy from the USS Caracas crew, headed by her CO, Admiral Stevan Seriman.
The vessel has been fitted with the latest and best technology available for her class , effectively and skilled performed by the Head of ASDB, Engineer LTJG Wyp Luminos and his ever-so-competent team. Their work of art and precision to detail is perceptible in every corner of the build. I’m looking forward to seeing what the USS Caracas and her crew can bring back home from their adventures.
Without a doubt there will be great stories and memorable moments…Fair winds, USS Caracas… and much success in your journeys.

USS Shogun: Inspection Passed and Ready for Commission!
Stardate: 090329 USS Shogun
By: Commodore Taylorholic Durant
This evening I had the honor and pleasure to inspect the newly constructed and already very successful new starship on UFS fleet: the USS Shogun. The new ship, a Sovereign class, has been built over the past few months, and as part of its commissioning process, I was received by its commanding officer, Lieutenant Ulrich Bechir and his XO, Ensign Liriani Magic, also by his wonderful crew for a tour of the vessel.Skillfully built by LT Elim Exonar, Vice-Branch Commander of UFS Engineering, with assistance of other engineers, the ship is a marvel of detail.
Beamed directly to the ship’s Transporter Room, I was received by the crew, lined up and ready for inspection. From the Transporter Room, I was taken through the spacious Shuttle Bay. From there we followed through Engineering where I was greeted by Chief Engineer LT SVAndrei Baxton and his team. I had a demonstration of the magnificent Power Consumption Control panel and how it manages the usage of power (prims) around the vessel, very impressive.
The engine was humming perfectly, a sign of the great work performed by LT Baxton and his crew. From Engineering, we all walked into the room housing the Deflector array. Climbing up the platform, I was able to inspect with great detail this impressive piece of engineering. After that we visited the Security department, with its Armory, Brig and Interrogation room being guided by the ship’s Chief of Security Ensign Niclaus Teichmann and his crew, very helpful and cordial.Guided by First Officer Ensign Liriani Magic, we also visited the 3 levels of the Computer Core, housing the ship’s precious data.A wonder of technology found there.I was truly impressed with the attention to detail employed on every corner of the ship, the Impulse Engines Room my favorite by far. The dedication of the crew was also very evident. Every department I visited I was continuously greeted by an officer who took the time to show me the facilities and detail its functions and purposes. Truly remarkable.
After visiting the Science deck with its several facilities(Astrometrics, Cybernetics and Planetary Labs) guided by the Chief Science Officer Ensign Tiberius Brouwer, I visited the Medical facilities including the Sickbay and Ward where the ship’s Chief Medical Officer greeted me with a smile and lots of information. Next up we visited the ship’s recreational section with its 10-Forward where the crew has the choice of relaxing after a long day on duty.Last but not least, I visited the ship’s bridge, where I was again greeted by the whole crew. An impressive work of engineering there as well.I was impressed on every minute I spent aboard the Shogun. The crew is wonderful and well-prepared, the Command crew competent and ready for the job. The ship is truly a wonder and UFS is lucky to have it on its Fleet. The USS Shogun has passed its inspection with flying colors and will be commissioned within a week, date and time of the commissioning/launch to be announced.
