SS Tranquility station is wracked by a series of explosions.
Location: SS Tranquility, Approximately 15 minutes by shuttle from Pinastri
Alert Status: Red
We have returned to Tranquility and repairs to the Magwitch are underway. For a brief moment all was calm, but that changed rather forcefully.
Tranquility has experienced three separate explosions on the station simultaneously. We've lost 2 people in the explosions and 5 more due to burns received by being to close.
The three areas of the station that were hit were the JAG deck, the external sensors and my quarters. Clearly someone is trying to send a rather forceful message.
Tranquility's crew are all working around the clock to learn not only the source, but also the reasoning behind this attack.
The duty shift started routinely, but then SS Tranquility was wracked by a series of explosions that occurred almost simultaneously. One of the explosions caused a hull breech in the JAG deck. Another took out our external senors and a third destroyed Cmdr Kinney Randt's quarters. The explosions all went off within a few minutes of each other, even though they occurred on multiple different locations on our massively large station.
The station went into lockdown and began emergency responses. Ops used a containment field to seal the hull breech and took damage reports. Medical set up to treat the wounded. Security dispatched teams to assess the damaged area, and science began analyzing the nature of the blast. The explosions took out the station's external sensors, so the runabout San Pedro was launched to serve as the stations eyes and ears. A comm link was set up from the San Pedro's sensors to Tranquility's main computer. Since the station was in lockdown, all ships in the areas were directed to either SS Athena or SS Cascadia.
Medical reports that casualties included 5 dead, 2 missing and 10 injured.
