Biography

Christopher Rhode is living proof that every person that serves the United Federation of Planets by taking up arms is unique. He possesses a personality that is far from the passive-aggressive stereotypes placed on Starfleet members by those on the outside looking in. He is loved by many, detested by few, but truly respected by all. One would testify that he once purchased a drink for Cadets he rightfully and verbally put in their places for their conduct unbecoming.

Rhode's background is somewhat of a curious mystery. One day showing up as a guest of Fleet Lieutenant Frostbite Pikajuna, then the next day assisting Starfleet personnel in repelling and recovering from a Griefer attack in Sector 001. Witnessing his knee-jerk reaction to preserve life, liberty, and the pursuit of all who threaten it, then-Admiral Brice Campbell sworn Cipher into the SFMC on the spot, and shipping him off to Basic Training within 15 minutes of the moment.

During his years in the Corps, Cipher continued to impress and annoy Officers and policy-makers because of his unique skill set. Cipher was one of many people to cause the Fleet to enact a weapons policy which prohibited the use and carry of weaponry that has not been approved by Starfleet nor its Marine Corps. (This order has been rarely enforced as there are cases where outside equipment [i.e. AK-47, Glock 18, M1911A1, RPG-7, M60E4 LMG, M16] has worked for the benefit of the Fleet.)

Seen in helping in other positions outside of the Marines, he has proven to be so much more than just a Rifleman. Cipher is considered by some to be one of the most important tactical assets to the Fleet, being able to perform and administer a variety of tasks such as (but certainly not limited to) operating a Communications or Tactical console on a Starship, administering First Aid to a fallen comrade, and even high-risk Explosive Ordnance Disposal.

Today, Cipher still continues serving in the Federation his own way. He does answer to those in charge of him, but as far as the mission goes, he either does things his way, or it's not done at all. He doesn't consider himself a hero, but many in Starfleet are thankful seeing him on their side. As for the villains, if they see Cipher, their time of existence is up.
