| Born to loving parents, Jade enjoyed a happy childhood. Despite her disabilities with dyslexia, her favorite hobby was reading about the places vessels like her father's explored. He was, Chief Engineer, on a ship of the line, in Earth's Planetary Defense Forces. Since he wasn't 1,000's of parsecs away like most Starfleet parents, she was able to visit him onboard often.She would stare out into the stars, dreaming of the day when she too would be Starfleet, and "Go where no man has gone before".
On the day the Breen attacked her biggest problem seemed to be what to wear for her upcoming Sixteen party. She stared out the window of the shuttle, evacuating her back to her home in the United Kingdom States. Jade watched the warring vessels prepare for the pitched battle about to occur, until her father's ship disappeared over the horizon. Later on as she listened to the Starfleet Chaplain with her mother, she made a vow to herself. It was not Jade's nature to seek revenge for her father's senseless demise. Her's was a promise of hope. "When I am Starfleet, I will find a way to stop these wars, Before they kill good people like my father. Peace will be my calling card, and unity my tool." | |||||
