General Overview

Jupiter is a telephathic sentient artifical lifeform first encoutered by the crew of SS Alexandria in 2386. Jupiter was created when a mysterious alien transmission was downloaded into Alexandria's computer system for analysis. The virus remained dormant for a series of weeks while it began to reconfigure Alexandria's computer core, introducing biological and positronic neural nets into the system to allow the computer of Alexandria to experience sentience.

On 110117, Jupiter, becoming displeased by what she described as "servile work" began to reroute power to the computer core to further the intergration process with the alien virus. Alexandria's crew attempted to intervene and were electro-magnetically shocked as they attempted to shut down the computer or divert power away from the system.

Jupiter is apparently capable of using the same shocks to transmitter her computerised "presence" into a living lifeform telepathically. She commandeered the body of Ensign Tprai Helix and used her Vulcan telepathic abilities to make her presense known to the crew of Alexandria. The diverted power to the core speeded up her intergration process allowing her to take a holographic "avatar" to speak for her.

Ensign Willowind, taking a stab at diplomacy attempting to reason with her. He convinced her, with the crews help that she could happily exist on the station without interference and that it was completely accidental that they did not know of her presense. When confronted by this and asked for an indentification, she stated "I am the she, the one that contains the organics." This and scans preformed by Chief Engineer, Commander Sov Meriman confirmed that she is indeed a personification of Alexandria Station herself, this confirms that the station is technically alive. The crew affectionately gave her a name "Jupiter"... in reference with the class of station.

Since her introduction, which resulted in an almost adolescent display of power, she has been contained inside an isolated section of the computer core and has returned control of critical systems back to the station's crew. Investigation and study is now underway and she has proven to be much more cooperative with the crew then the initial encounter.
