General

Office of Personnel is a Division responsible for maintaining a concise and complete biographical database of the UFS Membership, and all Personnel-related matters. Support the Midshipmen Program as appropriate.

Assignments

• The Director of the Personnel Division oversees all Personnel responsibilities and reports directly to the UF Starfleet Chief of Staff.
• The Vice Director reports directly to the Director of Personnel, and is responsible to perform the duties of the Director in the Director's absence.
• The Personnel Officer routinely manages all Personnel specific responsibilities as assigned. Reports directly to the Director or a person nominated by the Director of Personnel.

Duties of the Personnel Division

  • Permanent Change of Status Orders (PCS): Initiated by Commanders with authorization codes. All others will be deleted without notice.
  • Initial Permanent Change of Status (IPCS): For newly graduated cadets from the UFS Academy initiated by the Academy Command.
  • Secondary Billet Orders (SB): Initiated by Branch Commanders noted in the Secondary Billet requirements.
  • Extended leave of absence (LOA): Absence over 15 days but less than 60 days initiated by individual members.
  • Member Change of Status (MCS): Initiated by any member wishing to retire, resign commission, or become a citizen.

• Processing new and/or returning membership applications to the UFS (application form located at the UFS Welcome Centre)
• Posting Fleet and Headquarter Vacancies (http://www.ufstarfleet.org/forums/index.php?board=451.0)

• Maintaining the Office of Personnel WIKI and Forum (http://www.ufstarfleet.org/forums/index.php?board=150.0).
