It is the policy of this group that no member of United Federation Starfleet or their alts who have a Senior Position within UFS may obtain a position of authority in any other “Star Trek” related group. The reason for this is that said individual could be privy to restricted information on an internal administrative or operational level. Therefore in order to mitigate this it has been decided that if you desire to be a Senior Officer within UFS, you must relinquish any other leadership position within other “Star Trek” groups.

United Federation Starfleet believes that when one has obtained a position of authority in any organization, one has to be able to manage that position without having to divide ones time in between multiple organizations of the same interest. This would not be fair for UFS members nor for the other groups members.

Please note that we do not say membership, we say: in a senior billet. You can be in as many groups as you want, in fact, we encourage you to join other Trek related groups in Second Life so that you can see for yourself the added benefit of being a member within United Federation Starfleet. However, when you ACCEPT a senior position in United Federation Starfleet, we expect you to do the work that comes with said position to the best of your abilities and because a senior billet in United Federation Starfleet does come with work and responsibilities we ask you that you focus on that job.
