Within the vastness of space, these are the voyages of the USS Magellan. Our mission is to seek out what is unknown; to gain intelligence and understanding and to peaceably interact and form new alliances.
History
Ferdinand Magellan was a human Portuguese explorer of Earth that organised the Spanish expedition to the East Indies from 1519 to 1522, resulting in the first circumnavigation of Earth, which was completed by Juan Sebastián Elcano. Magellan had already reached the Malay Archipelago in Southeast Asia on previous voyages traveling east (from 1505 to 1511–1512). By visiting this area again but now travelling west, Magellan achieved a nearly complete personal circumnavigation of the globe for the first time in history.

Much like the explorer Magellan, our ship has a desire to map out as much of outer space as we can. The USS Magellan NCC-52141 is a steamrunner class vessel formed through an exploration shuttlecraft program in the year 2419. This program was started by Ishan Broek. This program has been instrumental into exploring some of the key areas of the Delta Quadrant surrounding Pinastri that we know about currently.
Starfleet has refit and recommissioned the USS Magellan NCC-52141 for the continued exploration of the Delta Quadrant. Her orders are issued by the United Federation Starfleet Command Joint Chief of UFS Operations, Vice Admiral Kermie Mistwallow. Her mission is to discover new key areas of interest near the planet Pinastri, UFS Headquarters, Delta Quadrant. Accepting the USS Magellan NCC-52141 charge of service is Captain Phoenix "Nix" Finistar and her crew. These are their voyages...
