History
During the Borg invasion in 2381, the Sentinel was one of the vessels which amassed at the Azure Nebula to defend against the Borg. Captain Dax of the USS Aventine ordered the Sentinel, the USS T'Kumbra, and the USS Templar through subspace tunnel twenty-two, as a combat sortie. However, of the three ships that entered only the Sentinel and the Templar emerged at the other end.
The Sentinel remained in the Delta Quadrant through to the end of the war and was redeployed to serve with the UFS Fleet. The ship is currently assigned to the 3rd Fleet under the command of Captain Julia Rivera
