Captain’s log 021821.two zero.four four.....We've sent our evaluation of DX-6 to headquarters and have received orders to proceed to the Voth system immediately. Starfleet operatives report that the Kinara - an alliance of the Devore, Karlon, Turei, Vaadwaur and Voth set to protect their interests around the Gateway to the First World - may be asserting new demands on the terms of use. A faction of Voth merchants report an increase in military presences and restrictions on trade in the area. This may be an indication of a larger geopolitical struggle for controlling regional resources. Our orders are to report to the Voth system for a reconnaissance of the Gateway to the First World sector and, if necessary, probe the status and extent of the the Kinara alliance.

For these operations we've received clearance from the Voth's Ministry of Elders to operate in the region and and to document Kinara activities to be shared with the Ministry of Elders and Federation authorities. To initiate this, the USS Calugula enter the Voth system and rendezvous with the Evolutio, a Voth City Ship, where the Caligula will take on a cargo for delivery to a Voth merchant colony near the Gateway. This will be our cover to gain access activities in the sector in and around this guarded access point to the First World sector.

While en route, USS Caligula crew should continue to test ship systems and run diagnostic tests on their primary and secondary stations to identify any issues and maintain operational efficiency. Operations staff in the cargo bay should be working with engineering to ensure we will be able to handle the assigned cargo. Security should be diligent about scans for other vessel traffic. Crew should familiarize themselves with LCARS readings on the Voth and the Kinara alliance.
