The word history is derived from the Ancient Greek historía, meaning "a learning or knowing by inquiry, history, record, or narrative". History is basically the study of past events and activities.

The study of history has sometimes been classified as part of the humanities and at other times as part of the social sciences. It can also be seen as a bridge between those two broad areas, incorporating methodologies from both. Some individual historians strongly support one or the other classification. In modern academia, history is increasingly classified as a social science.

Culture on the other hand is the accumulated habits, attitudes, and beliefs of a group of people that define for them their general behavior and way of life; the total set of learned activities of a people.

All articles found under this category will relate to either history, culture or a combimation of both.
