Biography
I joined Starfleet at the ripe age of 33 because I got tired of my civilian job doing the same damn thing all day every day. At least in Starfleet I can do the same damn thing all day every day but in new locations from time to time! As to what that job was? Why, holotech repair. I expect I'll be doing more of the same here, but maybe I'll get to work on pushing the tech some while I'm at it. Starfleet is where technologies are put to the test and pushed beyond their limits, after all.

Much as I got tired of fixing them all the time - often the same one the same way every week - I do enjoy using holotech. Some time spent in an ancient ruin as though it was newly constructed, or someplace entirely imaginary, can be quite relaxing, in my experience. One of the best technologies we've got, and we've got food replicators.

I got into holotech because it was what my father did, in the early days when the tech was still new and super quirky. Mom, may she rest in peace, was a more than competent operator, but stayed mostly away from the hardware when she could manage it. So it's in my blood, at this point.

I figure my experience with holotech will spill over into other responsibilities pretty readily, so I shouldn't get too lost out there in the black. I'll still probably relate everything to how holotech deals with it, though, because that's what I know. Hope that doesn't get too annoying for the crewmates. Guess only time will tell.
